Day 1 - Split - Arrival

Welcome to Croatia! Upon arrival in Split, Croatia, proceed through Immigration & Customs. You will then be met, assisted with baggage, and privately transferred from the Split airport to your five star, seaside hotel with the remainder of the day at your leisure.
This evening, join us for our Welcome Cocktails Reception followed by dinner at a five star restaurant.

Diocletian's Palace - UNESCO World Heritage Site
 Day 2 - Split - City Tour of Split & Trogir

Today we will enjoy a privately guided walk through Split and get a glimpse of its 17-century long history. We'll meander through Diocletian’s Palace... a truly jaw-dropping royal residence - massive in both building size and in square-block size. Feeling the natural sense of smallness, we will parade this palace to observe the great wealth of historic monuments. After our sightseeing of Split, we proceed to Trogir, with a short stop in Solin for a tour and photos. Tour Trogir's treasure trove of sites before we return to the hotel this afternoon with remainder of the day free at your leisure.

Day 3 - Split - Plitvice National Park (See Map)
Plitvice National Park
We begin early today, setting out on a beautiful coach ride inland to Plitvice. Upon arrival at the park we'll enjoy private, guided touring, accompanied by a group lunch. After a full day of touring, we return to our hotel for the night.

 Day 4 - Split - Island of Hvar (See Map)
After our ferry crossing, we'll indulge in sightseeing on the island of Hvar. We'll visit several of the island's coastal towns, as well as visit some of its ancient, inland villages. Wine tasting at winery. Return to Split via ferry late this afternoon, with the remainder of the evening at your leisure.

A Doorway into Brac
The Island of Brac is the highest island in the Adriatic Sea and the third largest in the Adriatic. Today's guided tour to this popular island will include a visit to Supetar, to Pucisce (with the well known stone masonry school), and to the picturesque little town of Bol.
There, we will visit the Dominican monastery with a rich library and archive, and drop into an ancient cellar for a tasting of savory, local wines. Take some time to enjoy swimming or sunbathing on the famous beach called Zlatni Rat (Golden Promontory). The Zlatni Rat beach reaches out into the sea and creates an ever changing, wild, beachscape, and is surrounded by dense pine woods in the background.

Day 7 - Split - Krka Waterfalls & Sibenik

 After a leisurely breakfast this morning, we jump on our coach and head out along the Sibenik Riviera. We'll catch a river boat to Krka, where we'll spend the afternoon touring, strolling, and swimming. We then head to the town of Sibenik, where we'll tour and have lunch before we return this afternoon to Split with the remainder of the day at our leisure. Farewell to Split, casual Group dinner with local wine tasting.

Krka National Park
Day 8 - Dubrovnik - Omis - Cetina River to Dubrovnik

Cetina River Meets the Adriatic Sea in Omis
 We start with a lovely guided coach drive from Split to Omis, a little town and a port on the estuary of the Cetina River. On its way towards the sea, the Cetina has in the course of centuries cut a magnificent canyon in the mountains surrounding it. Roaring thunderously from its source, it brought the power that for many centuries worked the wheels of mills, and then went on to find peace in the embrace of the sea. We'll hop on a boat that will take us up river. In this unity of rapids and calm waters, we shall explore one of the most outstanding mills (mlinice), and we'll stroll through the millsite before heading to our next destination where we'll enjoy lunching on oysters and wines of this region of Croatia.
After lunch and touring the village, we proceed on a lovely, coastal coach ride to the famous city of Dubrovnik, where we will check into our famous, 5 Star Hotel for the evening.

Day 9 - Dubrovnik - City Tour of Dubrovnik

The Old Medieval Stone Wall Surrounds Old City Dubrovnik from Invaders on the Adriatic Sea
 The tour begins with a coach drive on the coastal highway, featuring panoramic views of the city walls, ancient roof tops and the picturesque surroundings. We continue with a walking tour of the city, which is on UNESCO's List of World Heritage Sites, due to its exceptional beauty and rich cultural heritage. This ancient town, surrounded by strong ramparts and fortresses, is a treasure trove of architectural and cultural masterpieces, scrupulously preserved over the centuries. A pleasant walk will take us to the Rector's Palace, the Dominican Monastery; and we will also partake on special, exclusive tours to lesser-known sites inside the city walls of Dubrovnik.

Day 10 - Dubrovnik - Day at Leisure

Enjoy the morning and afternoon hours on your own. We'll then convene for a wonderful, private farewell cocktail reception & dinner on our last night in a local millsite restaurant. Your hunger will strike upon the delectable scent of gourmet ham, smoked cheese, lamb and veal baked under the iron bell, home-baked bread, grilled trout and other specialties of this renowned region. In the gentle valley of Konavle, in the lush greenery of the old woods, on the banks of the rolling stream, Ljuta, in an ancient mill, time seems to have stopped. Still, there is a place in the vicinity of Dubrovnik which is free from busy traffic and crowds.
